Abstract: Chemical interaction and glass formation in chalcogenide systems containing rare earth elements have been studied. The ternary systems Ln-As-X (where Ln - Sm, Yb, Eu; X - S, Se, Te) were investigated by complex methods of physical-chemical analysis: differential thermal analysis, X-ray diffraction analysis, microstructural analysis, microhardness measurements and density determination. Phase equilibriums of ternary systems were determined and regions of their stability were found, phase diagrams were constructed.
